Frustrating installation: In our tests, the program constantly tried to get us to download additional programs and browser extensions during installation. The option to not install these elements didn't even appear until after we clicked Custom Install on each page of the installer. Also, when installation was finished, a Web page automatically opened.
Spotty reliability: More than once during testing, we received an error message saying that the files were not available, despite the presence of a solid Internet connection.
Bottom Line
If you really need to get an MP3 file from a YouTube video, this app will get the job done. However, the installer is frustrating, and the app doesn't always work as advertised. You do get excellent control over your final product.

I can recall that YouTube changed some stuff a couple of years ago that made the downloads impossible. For other software that is. You guys never had that problem. Loyal user for 3+ years now.

The add ons, easy to install malware if you are not paying attention to the little boxes when loading it.
Constant updates it seems andd has actually gotten worse since the first versions due to the extras it tries to have you install.

This program had some serious potential and was excellent when it fiorst came out. Sadly advertising and sponsors seem to have jumped all over it resulting in some damaging programs coming with the actual original, and seemingly has updates every day of the week ^^ which do not make it better but quite the reverse.
Wish I could go back to the very first version of this. It was magnificent in its simplicity and operation.

This company called DVD Video Soft must be a very dodgy outfit to start with. Many users of this programme reported about the program 'secretly' installing malware and adware to users computers. However the company keeps repeating the same line:
'Anyway, you always have an option to opt out all unwanted programs during the installation'.
But every user clearly mentioned that in spite of opting out from all the unwanted programmes the company still went ahead and 'secretly' installed the unwanted adwares and malwares. Such action is very unethical. Rather than promoting your company it sounds the death knell because such outfits soon loose respect. I find it difficult to understand why anyone should think that they would secure any benefit from annoying others -which is what every unwanted programmes does. If you want to take ads from partners, you display such ads on your webpage, not packaged it with software to cause annoyance to others especially as reality shows that majority of the targets simply don't want the ads.

DID NOT install the checked off items during "advanced" installation such as PlutoTv. non of it installs as long as you uncheck it. It does, however, come with components just like Microsoft Office, you don't get just word. It also installs its original company DVD studio and safe browser. These do not show on windows "Uninstall or change a program" Because they are part of Youtube MP3 Downloaded, which its program file has all the extra installs just like Microsoft office does. If it freaks you out then you don't know what you are doing with a computer.
As far as the software itself, it delivers its promises just fine. I love it that it creates a new folder for a whole playlist! You can set the download quality and file type. The higher the quality, the larger the file. It even adds a screen shot Thumbnail of the original video, so that you know what it looks like!

Got an awesome software for free. It's investors are the spammy software you need to uncheck during install under "Advanced installation." It delivers its promises and it's simple to use. It does a lot so it can take up some memory just like a web browser while in use. Shouldn't bother newer computers with high RAM.

Big negative is that you can only download 20 items in a playlists, not the whole playlist! Extremely disappointing!

Installs a bunch of other stuff..I unchecked all extra software install options but it still went ahead and installed some other stuff i didn't ask for. Very dodgy...Recommend you avoid

My first interaction with this company and they force a load of stuff I don't want onto MY PC. How dare they. If that's the way they treat their customers at point of first contact anyone would be a fool to continue using them.

It does work well at converting and downloading YouTube vids to MP3's. Too bad it's full of malware.

Unfortunately it also secretly installs malware "OpenCandy" to barrage you non stop with ad pages and popups.
